EXPERIENCE

BACKGROUND

I am born and raised in Ojai, California, where I currently live. I have been drawing all my life and created an unique style in the process. I like to illustrate my passions, from original ideas, to fanart, and paint abstract scenery from my imagination. My work is ever-evolving, always experimental, and I like to think out-of-the-box when it comes to story telling and problem solving.

WORK EXPERIENCE

I am currently a working for the Ojai Valley News, as their weekly opinion piece comic. I've had many clients from Your Wedding Day Magazine in 2008 - 2010 as a web designer, illustrations for Resiliency in Action in 2012, marketing illustrations for Atooi Games in 2016, and several private commissions of all various subjects. My normal work experience involves retail and archaeological monitoring as a Native American Consultant.

EDUCATION

I attended Nordhoff Highschool in Ojai, CA where I was involved with the music department and played at Carnegie Hall. I took a year of graphic design at Brooks Institute of Photography and learned typography, packaging design, and marketing. I have an Associates Art Degree from Ventura Community College in Ventura, CA where I studied traditional media painting, digital painting and photography. I have been self taught and use free online resources to improve my skills.
